Chid (pp. 63-65)

After a few days of fever, Chid gets recovered but nevertheless he does’t leave the narrator. He becomes a lasting guest and eats her food and uses all her possessions. Therefore the narrator has to lock up all her papers. Chid also uses her for sex whenever he wants to.

The only person who really likes him is Inder Lal. He’s really impressed by him and his stories about spirituality, so that he comes to listen to him nearly every day.
